I have direct feedback from other mini-pump users, read all the reviews for this one & also the manufacturer's web site. The big factors for me were: a) removable/replaceable rechargeable battery & the option to run on a standard C123 if necessary; b) the reported low noise compared to other mini-pumps (I concur after testing mine); and c) the extremely low weight & full set of adapters. Now, there's no free lunch: this pump has good capacity but it's best for solo or couple use, not a full family with a trunk full of inflatables. For me, it is exactly the right tool for the job, nothing more or less. I do agree that the cap threads seem rough at first but they smooth out with use. Very pleased, would absolutely buy again & recommend to other friends with similar use profiles to mine.

I was a bit worried reading so many reviews about issues with the rechargeable battery not holding a charge, but so far I have been pleasantly surprised! I've not had any issues with it dying on me, I just charge it after each trip. I was easily able to inflate 3 pillows, 3 sleeping pads, and a hammock pad will juice left. And, this thing weighs practically nothing, which is great for backpacking! Saves me getting dizzy trying to inflate my pad manually at the end of a long day of hiking. I will say, test out the adapters BEFORE you go on a trip, haha! My gear required 3 different adapters due to the different inlet valves.

Lots of folks in the camping world use and recommend this. If you have an inflatable sleeping pad for camping or anything else (pool toys, etc) you need to inflate, use this thing. Way better than putting your humid breath into the item you are inflating. This comes with multiple adapters to use on different types of inflation valves. This can also be used for deflation by using the opposite end. The battery is rechargeable, but must be removed (unscrewed) from the housing to recharge. That would be my only complaint. No external charging port. But this little thing is solid. - wait, I lied... it would be nice if it came with a storage bag - second small complaint - luckily I have a few extra small stuff sack type things and found something to work for it to keep it readily accessible for my needs
